Information about Chiara Cecilia
I am Chiara, a PhD student in Mathematics at Imperial College.
I`m a very active person, I love sports, nature and travelling.
Teaching has always been my passion.
I usually arrange a first meeting (1 hour) to understand strengths and weaknesses of the student with a short test, in order to choose the best and more personal way to proceed with the lessons.
In some cases I strongly encourage group lessons, they can be one of the best way to motivate young students.
I am also used to giving homework in order to check whether the student has fully understood the topic discussed together. I am willing to answer to Whatsapp messages or Skype calls when needed, and I always encourage the students to make me as much questions as possible.
My aim is teaching to my students how to be independent, giving them the right direction about the work they needs to do without me.
Availability: Every day from 8am till 9pm
Willing to travel: 12 miles
Experience: I did my undergraduate internship at High school, teaching Mathematics to 4th year students for one academic year.
I am teaching as a tutor since I was at High school. In all these years I have experienced teaching with a broad range of students: from primary school to university, students with a learning disability or adults who decided to start studying again.
