I enjoy teaching - all ages and all levels. I teach English, maths, and music. I enjoy meeting people, whether children, teenagers or adults, and helping them work out what they want (or need) to do, and get over their stumbling blocks. I can develop a structured course of study with you if that`s appropriate, or I can be much more flexible if you prefer. Every learner is different, and I will work with you at your own pace.

I teach:
English - all levels, from helping your child with KS3 (lower secondary) work, to GCSE, A-level, and degree.

Maths - up to KS3.

Music - generally I have taught music to people who want to play for enjoyment, rather than for exams. I play guitar and mandolin.

Availability: This varies: I am retired, but sometimes still teach part-time. We can negotiate convenient times, day or evening. I can do one-offs, or occasional visits, or we can arrange regular sessions, as required.

If you prefer I can offer sessions online via Zoom - either as an extra on top of visits, or as an alternative to visits. Where it`s appropriate I offer extra support by phone and email, at no extra cost.

Experience: I have been teaching for many years (since 1980), in schools, colleges, and universities, at all levels from basic literacy / numeracy, Key Stage 3 & 4, GCSE, A-level and degree. I have taught children, teenagers, and adults.
