I started my journey in childcare when I was 18. I completed my NVQ and went onto university. Since then I have had my own class and worked as a supply teacher. In this time I have come to work with a very holistic approach to education. I believe that the key to children`s success in learning is through finding ways to help them enjoy it and see the fun and creative side in all subjects.

I`ve worked closely with many autistic children and have had success in creating a calm and safe learning environment to support their needs and help them reach their SMART targets.

I love teaching and I am passionate about helping children succeed. I believe if children are given the right tools they can raise their attainment and enjoy doing it.

Availability: Prefer to work evenings, weekends and holidays but I will have availability in the week as well.

Experience: I worked in a nursery and preschool for 5 years, I also did my undergraduate degree in this time. After finishing my degree I went on to do my PGCE. My specialism is mathematics. I have also had the opportunity to study and work in a steiner school. This was an interesting journey and has given me many tools to support children`s education and development through using different artistic techniques to engage the children.
I have worked for a year as a supply teacher and had my own class for a year and a half.
In this time I have worked closely with many children with SEN, working alongside the SENCo to ensure all of the children in my care are being given the help and support they deserve.
I love working one to one with children working on new ways to engage them with their learning and support their journey to achieving their targets.
