I am passionate about children`s learning and achievement. My motto is , every child can achieve to their highest potential. I relate very well to both children and adults.. I am a very good teacher and excellent communicator .
Availability: Monday to Friday afternoons and evenings

Experience: I am a qualified Primary school teacher with 25 years experience. I have had experience as a successful and excellent class teacher, spealicialist for teaching English as a second language, special needs teacher and Assistant Headtecher. I have and can teach any subject of the curriculum and really enjoy teaching reading and mathematics. I have a proven record of being able to move children`s attainment very quickly.

Fantastic! Ellen has been supporting our son over the summer holidays for his KS1 (5 years old) and he`s loved every session. We`ve seen improvements in his maths, and focus, and his ability to sit for hour sessions at a time has been down to Ellen and the way she engages with him. Definitely recommend Ellen to anyone, very friendly, brought all documentation on first visit and was clear on what we wanted for our son before starting.

I can highly recommend Ellen as a tutor. She is very thorough in her preparation and is always ready to go over or reinforce anything my children haven`t understood at school. She manages to appeal to their different ages and keeps them interested. She is quick to realise if they are not understanding something and changes the way she explains it. She feeds back to me about what they have done as well which is very valuable.
