Toby

As a graduate from the University of Bristol with a degree in French, Spanish and Italian I am passionate about the languages I`ve studied and would very much like to help other students of all levels succeed in their studies of these languages as well as English. With an ear for accents, I am able to help students improve their pronunciation/accent in their chosen languages (a key element in being taken seriously when speaking the target language) and at the same time have some fun doing so.

Willing to travel: 15 miles

Experience: As someone who used tutors during my education, in particular at the GCSE and A-Level/Pre-U stages, I have an firm grasp of not only what examiners are looking for, but also have an understanding of the difficulties students encounter when studying languages or subjects of the arts.

I have a degree in Modern Languages (French, Spanish and Italian), with experience in French and Spanish from primary level. I started learning Italian at university level, grew to love the language and advanced rapidly because of this.

I spent my University Year Abroad working in business environments in both Milan and Madrid where I was immersed in both cultures requiring me to use written and verbal skills on a daily basis, which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I also worked in a language school in Nice, France teaching foreign students aged 10-16, French during their summer stay with the school.
