Information about Rosie
I am approachable and patient with a passion for chemistry. Having completed a degree, masters and PhD in chemistry, I have a full and thorough understanding of all aspects of this subject and of how challenging it can be.
Many students may find chemistry scary or daunting. My aim is to eliminate this by breaking the concepts down into easy to understand chunks. Scientific concepts can be explained in a non scientific way making them more manageable for students, regardless of ability. By finding a unique way of teaching and learning, tailored to the individuals needs, I can help every student realize their potential.
Availability: I am flexible when it comes to lessons, I will do my best to accommodate. Evenings are best, but if you would like a lesson at another time, please let me know and I will see what I can do.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I am patient and enthusiastic, with a passion to nurture the scientist in every individual. I have a range of experiences, from teaching practical chemistry at degree level, to explaining concepts to students and providing 1:1 support to students through projects, along with exam preparation. Very flexible in terms of availability, also happy to do different styles of lesson, from supplementing school studies, to more in depth explanations of the tricky concepts and revision lessons.
