I am an experienced head of biology at a nearby selective school. I am incredibly enthusiastic about biology and will endeavour to tailor tutor sessions to your needs. I am fully up to date with the leading exam boards and have many resources at my disposal.

My general approach is to, first and foremost, talk through the concepts you are having difficulty with and then discuss exam technique. Time will then be spent applying what has been learnt using resources I have created. Overall I will provide revision techniques and fun examples which will make remembering concepts all the more easier!

Availability: I am available in the evenings between 4:30 and 7:00pm every weekday except Thursdays.

Experience: I have been teaching A level and GCSE biology for the past six years (during which I have been promoted to head of department) and have been tutoring, on an ad-hoc basis, for much of the same time. Many of my tutees have attended nearby public and grammar schools - and therefore I have experience of IGCSE and IB and the academic rigour that is expected.

I have a 2:1 degree in biology from Durham University and achieved an A in biology A Level (before A* existed) and an A* at GCSE.
