My focus is creating a comfortable learning environment in which my pupils can thrive, unlocking the skills that are most challenging to them through innovative and creative learning techniques. I like to make learning interesting and fun, and I do this within a combination of both teaching and learning strategies as well as creating excellent rapports with all of my students.

I work full time, however I am available to tutor on evenings and weekends. I drive and am flexible with travel where necessary.

Availability: Weekday evenings and weekends.

Experience: I am a graded `Outstanding` English teacher and I currently work in an Ofsted Outstanding school teaching ages 11-16 full time.
My cultivated knowledge of the GCSE criteria ensures success for both KS4 and KS3 pupils, as I am able to develop their skills with this in mind. I teach both literature and language as part of this, and my degree in English Literature provides me with the highest level of subject specific knowledge in order to help with success

I have worked as a teacher full time for a year as I am part of the Teach First graduate scheme. Ranked as third best graduate scheme in the country, this programme places participants in areas of the country with low socio-economic background and we begin teaching full time as we train.
I have been awarded Qualified teacher status and graded `Outstanding`, and my enthusiasm and passion for my career has fueled this success.
I graduated from the University of Exeter and I have three A-Levels in English Literature, English Language and Sociology - all awarded A grade.
