I am an enthusiastic and friendly graduate, eager to use the skills I have learnt at university in the one-to-one tutoring style that Cambridge employs. This personal supervision allowed me to develop my own form of expression and grow in confidence, and I am keen to pass on this type of excellent teaching and dialogical form of learning. I am very passionate about quality teaching, having never forgotten my favourite teachers at school! I have a deep interest in theatre, film, current affairs and literature. Having attended Tiffin Girls` School where there is a close focus on getting good exam grades, I am well equipped to help with the 11+ entrance exam and national curriculum subjects up to KS3 in all subjects, and then also to tutor the GCSE and A levels that I took.

I am a good leader and excel in leading individuals and creative teams in a nurturing way. During my three years at Cambridge I balanced eleven major theatre productions in a leadership role, where I took care to support my cast and foster constructive team work, often spending extended one-on-one time with actors and crew members where needed. As a sailing instructor I led classes of up to 17 clients. From the age of 16 I was Assistant at Abubilla Music and its charity, Singing Wells, dedicated to recording and archiving East African traditional music. With Singing Wells, I travelled to Uganda at the age of 19 to conduct interviews with local musicians and facilitate the smooth running of the trip.

As already mentioned, I have enjoyed a number activities surrounding academia both at school and university. I spent 3 years singing for the National Youth Choir, took part in many theatre productions and played the flute, piano and the accordion whilst at school. I also enjoyed sailing, tennis, netball and rounders and became a qualified sailing instructor at 18.

I am based in Kingston Upon Thames but always happy to travel to the pupils home, and pick them up from school if necessary.

Availability: I can work all week apart from Saturdays and Wednesdays from 6pm.

Experience: I greatly enjoy working with children, and whilst at school was a baby-sitter for children up to the age of 15 for a number of families in my area.
