Hello! I`m a flexible English as a Foreign Language (EFL) tutor with 11+ years face-to-face and online teaching experience with a preference for teaching adults academic English. I`m currently studying for the Trinity Dip TESOL (level 7) and Diploma in Education (level 5)*, which has taught me more about adapting to meet learners` diverse needs, different approaches to teaching and academic management.

*I passed this in July 2020 - awaiting certificate.

Experience: I’m a committed and creative CELTA qualified teaching professional with 11 years’ experience planning and delivering exam-based English (IELTS/CAE/FCE/Trinity GESE), general English (beginner to proficiency levels) and business English classes of all sizes both face to face and online using Microsoft Teams, Skype and Zoom. I am also a skilled proof-reader, invigilator and private tutor who has organised and led conversational group outings both for schools and my own Meetup group.

I believe that effective English lessons and activities should be interactive, adaptable and differentiated with clear aims for all ages and abilities. I’m an empathetic communicator, capable of leading a team and being a team player. I’m flexible, resourceful and able to cope well under pressure. I am also IT literate, numerate and well-organised. I’m a native English speaker (from Bradford, England) and I also have a reasonable level of conversational Spanish (A2+).
