Information about Isabella

Hi there,
I`m a second year Biochemistry student and achieved a First Class-honours in every university assignment in the first year of my Biochemistry degree. I have a strong academic background in Biology, Chemistry and Maths (my A-level subjects).
Experience in Tutoring multiple GCSE Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Maths and English students from primary school through to GCSEs.

The good, the bad and the GCSEs…
My lessons are tailored to make challenging topics engaging, accessible and enjoyable for all types of students! Whether the student requires lessons for extra support with exam preparation or grasping subject content, I will support each student in a way that works for them.

Having previously tutored multiple students, I understand that each student has unique learning needs and expectations. To support their progress, I provide personalized summary notes after every lesson, allowing them to review key concepts at their own pace and reinforce their understanding in a way that suits their learning style.

In the past, students have told me that they found this a really useful way to learn content and apply it to exam questions.

As a tutor, I`m passionate about helping students achieve satisfaction in their subjects alongside their academic goals.
I am patient and enthusiastic and adopt a very personalised teaching approach when working with the students.

It is my role to support you whether that be in breaking down content heavy topics, preparing for exams and working on revision tactics or simply just keeping on track with classwork and homework!

Availability: I am available Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays; please enquire about times as I am rather flexible on both weekday and weekend hours.
I am available at any time at the weekend!
Please let me know what times will be most suitable and we can arrange appropriate hours.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: In my final year of sixth form, I had the privilege of mentoring students in years 7 and 8. This consisted of one-on-one discussions with them about their academic achievements and how to improve further; we would also discuss how they feel about their subjects.
I have experience engaging and supporting people through my voluntary work in a local hospital where I met young people and had extensive conversations with them on hospital wards whilst serving teas and coffees. Additionally, I have worked as a babysitter and in doing so tried to make the time we had together as productive as we can to promote learning in youngsters.

Having achieved grade 6 clarinet and grade 5 piano, I understand the difficulty of learning new concepts at early stages of life; this has helped me to guide others through structural learning and understand the importance of explaining concepts clearly.
GCSE grades:
COMBINED SCIENCE 9-8, MATHS - 8, ENGLISH LIT- 9, ENGLISH LANG-8
A-level Grades: Mathmatics C, Chemistry C, Biology D

I will look forward to hearing from you to start tutoring sessions!

Isabella is really helping my school-avoidant son to grasp mathematical concepts, which would usually cause him to shut down. She is very good at putting him at ease, and he actually looks forward to his lessons! An absolute Godsend!!
