Jennifer

I hold a PhD in Medieval Studies from Cornell University in the United States as well as a Masters degree in Medieval Studies and a BA in English and History. I have taught Writing Seminars in the United States, history at university level, and English language and literature at secondary school level for Downe House School. I currently teach history from years 7-13 at Bales College between Kensal Rise and Ladbroke Grove. I have also tutored 11+ students, some 13+ students, foundation school English literature, and English, maths and history at secondary school level and younger students as well.

I enjoy seeing students not only learn the material but enjoy the learning process. That "aha!" moment of light that comes into their eyes is a joy to behold. Seeing my students succeed is the reward of teaching and tutoring.

Availability: I have moved to Chicago but am working from home most days so I have availability! Just need to work out the time difference.

Experience: I have spent several years teaching at university level in the United States. I have also taught 1 year of English at secondary school in the UK and have been teaching history and English for the past 3 and a half years. I have also tutored various age groups in different subjects, both here in the UK and in the US.

I have an active DBS but it is connected to my school.
