For the last 5 years I`ve been living out in Berlin and teaching languages full time and only I`ve only just moved back to Glasgow. I originally graduated in politics and economics, but did a Cambridge CELTA course after university and since then language has been my main focus, although I keep up-to-date on all things political and economical. I am fluent in German and have a Goethe C1 certificate.
I have plenty of experience teaching all ages of people for multiple purposes and I like to use this experience to tailor a lesson to an individual. I believe that lessons should be engaging, but also carried out in a relaxed atmosphere. As a friendly, approachable and knowledgeable person who engages properly with pupils while putting a lot of effort into preparation, I can deliver effective and enjoyable lessons.

Experience: I have been teaching foreign languages and working as a translator for 5 years in Berlin. I was working for various different companies teaching general classes, exam preparation classes and private classes at all levels and for all ages.
I taught for 4 years at the further education school `BBZ` teaching technical language skills to trainee laboratory assistants.
I taught business English to many companies in Berlin including the BVG (Berlin Public Transport), Airberlin and ZIF (Center for International Peacekeeping Operations) and have given whole day training language workshops for institutions like the Rosa Luxemburg institute in Berlin.
I`ve also worked as a German to English translator which has included a translation for The Telegraph.
