Information about Rory
I am currently a 5th year studying medicine at the University of Oxford and so very much enjoy both the challenge and reward of getting to grips with the sometimes tricky bits of KS3, GCSE, and A-level science. I love seeing students achieve the satisfaction of reaching their potential in these subjects.
I like to promote an informal atmosphere in the tutorial, finding that a good rapport between tutor and student proves most effective. Using interesting and relevant examples to stimulate discussion, I hope to make the material interesting for the student. I hope to help students develop academic maturity and critical thinking skills.
Availability: I am available for most of the year.
On weekdays - afternoon and evening sessions.
On weekends - all day.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have a good deal of experience tutoring students in Chemistry, Biology Physics and Maths at both GCSE and A-level, as well as providing valuable advice to potential Medics in completing their applications and preparing them for a medical school interview: such an vital part of the process to get right.
Having been through this difficult process myself, and having spoken to my Oxbridge tutors about what they are looking for in a successful interview candidate, I feel I am well positioned to help students achieve their maximum potential.

Rory is very pleasant and knowledgeable. He is really helping my son with his A level Biology - he is well prepared for lessons, explains things well, and sets exam questions to do between sessions. Progress is definitely being made, so I would recommend Rory.
