An experienced, enthusiastic and skilled History teacher who is committed to enabling all students to develop and deepen their understanding of History at KS3, 4 and 5 with a particular focus on ensuring students achieve exam success at GCSE and A level.
I am currently a History teacher at a highly successful inner London school in West London. I have extensive experience, (20 years)of teaching students to enable them to achieve excellent results in History at both GCSE and A level (including the new GCSE and A level specifications). I have been Head of History and Deputy Head of Humanities.
I currently have responsibility in my school for leading the PGCE programme: training and developing teachers of tomorrow, further evidence of my skills in successfully nurturing potential, and have an NPQSL in this area.
Availability: 5.30pm onwards weekdays
12-6 weekends
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have a broad range of subject experience at GCSE and A level, currently teaching A level 17th Century Britain, 19th and 20th Century Germany.
I have also taught Weimar and Nazi Germany, the Cold War, 20th Century Russia, Poverty and Public Health and Rise of Fascism in Italy at A Level.
I currently teach Weimar and Nazi Germany at GCSE.
In addition, I have taught 20th century USA (early 20th Century, New Deal, Civil Rights, Vietnam), 20th century India, Britain 1920s 60s and Crime and punishment.
I have been an A level examiner for Edexcel and currently work as a GCSE examiner for Edexcel.
