I have been teaching history and politics for sixteen years at a Grammar school covering years 7-13. As such I am familiar with latest specifications at GCSE and A level which is vital for an effective tutor. I also do Oxbridge preparation for History and Politics and have taught Critical Thinking at both A and A/S level.
Specialties: Modern American, British and European history; A level coursework; essay technique and grade maximisation.
N.B as a permanently employed teacher I have an enhanced DBS check.
Availability: evenings and weekends and all day during school holidays.

Experience: 20 years as a History teacher, sixteen in a grammar school.I have also taught and tutored Politics and Critical thinking at AS and A level.

Roger has been tutoring my son for a number of weeks now. He is extremely professional and knowledgeable. Roger is always very concise, clear, and patient. He provides good exam tips and revision techniques and is focused on improving my son`s A Level grade and ensuring my son reaches his full potential. Roger definitely goes out his way to adapt the teaching based upon my son`s need, Not only does Roger support my son with Politics tutoring, he also has assisted my son with reviewing his personal statement for University. I do believe my son will reach his potential and improve his grade with the support from Roger. I would definitely recommend Roger to parents that are looking to get their child ahead in A level Politics!
