Information about Shilpa
I believe that good teaching is all about how carefully one has thought explaining a particular concept. I believe in teaching children in a logical and clear manner. I ask pupils thoughtful questions continuously throughout the session to help commit information to long term memory and to understand gaps in their knowledge and any misconceptions they have. I have hundreds of resources for pupils to practice applying their skills and knowledge to perfect their performance in exams.
Availability: I am flexible with my availability.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have been a secondary school science teacher for three years. I qualified with Teach First (a prestigious teacher training programme) and was awarded a distinction in my PGCE. I have tutored and taught hundreds of pupils from the ages of 11-16 and help them achieve some of the highest grades possible in their GCSE examinations.
