Information about Muhsin
As a trained Economics specialist and qualified teacher I understand the needs of learners in being able to interpret sometimes complex information including graphs, and being able to use data to answer contextualised questions. My focus as a teacher is to improve the assessment objective skills required by learners in order to succeed. I have developed strategies to help learners become proficient in creating chains and evaluating at the highest level, which is the most important variable in achieving high grades in Economics.
I have created a youtube channel with Economics content called ";[contact detail removed]";. This is for learners to recap the main points from core topics of the A Level Syllabus. The videos are 8-12 minutes long and more videos are being uploaded weekly.
I have been a guest on Educational TV programmes talking about student career paths beyond school and sixth forms and the importance of vocational courses for progression routes.
I currently am Deputy Head of Faculty teaching Economics in a mainstream sixth form college.
Availability: Please get in touch to organise weekly sessions. I would seriously advise students find regular tuition early on in the academic year, September onwards. Students normally want tuition a few months before exams and expect A grades with a few months of tuition. Be weary of educators promising A Grades with a few months work. Linear A Levels requires hard-work, determination and continuous practice over a lengthy period of time. If your Economics is weak, find support early on.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have a PGCE (Secondary and Sixth Form) and am QTS qualified since July 2010. My passion is Economics which I myself studies at A Level and achieved an A in. I completed my Degree in Economics and Finance and worked in industry for a Year before qualifying as a teacher and gaining my QTS. I became head of department and taught the new linear A Level Economics individually. I have taught all three components of the OCR, AQA and Edexcel curriculum.
My Current role as Deputy Head of Faculty includes teaching all of the Economics both Micro and Macro.
My attainment for students within the institutions I have worked for have been 100% A-C grades and the expectations for my current cohort is the same. I have worked in schools and colleges where student profiles range from low ability, and high achievers and have always supported students in achieving their best grades with proven and consistent strategies.

I contacted Mr Muhsin to tutor me during my gap year as I missed my university offer by one grade. I believe his approach to teaching will allow for me to meet the top grades as I am getting more and more confident with the extra details and techniques I need to boost my grade. He also offers to mark any exam questions I have practiced which is extremely helpful since I don`t have regular lessons at school anymore.
