I have obtained a First Class BSc (Hons) in Mathematics from the University of Portsmouth and I am due to start a mathematics graduate scheme in September. I studied both Maths and Further Maths at A-level so have a comprehensive understanding of what is required as well as an appreciation for the difficulty.

As I am a new tutor, I am offering a reduced rate over summer whilst I gain experience. As I have finished my degree I am flexible to tutor at any time before I start my graduate job. I intend on tutoring from my home (in my dining room dedicated for tutoring only), this has the benefit of me not needing to charge for travel, when students enter my home they will associate it with studying and find it easier to concentrate and I also really enjoy baking so will probably have studying snacks around!

The first lesson will be free, so both myself and the tutee can understand if I am a good fit to help give them a maths boost, it is also so I can get an understanding of the needs of the student and find out which topics to focus on and develop personalised resources.

Experience: I have only just started tutoring, but I have been wanting tutor for a long time as I really want to help others to achieve their maths goals and their enjoyment for the subject as it can be very frustrating at times! Since I do not have lots of experience is why my rates are hopefully more affordable while I gain more experience. Furthermore, since I am new to this, all of my resources that I am creating are all totally based on the new exam specifications.
