My name is Martina. I was born, bred and educated in Italy between Toscana and Lombardia and have a law degree from the Università degli Studi of Milan. I have been living in London since 1991. I have a CLTA qualification (Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults). I have completed a 1-year course translation course from English into Italian at City, London University

Experience: I have been teaching for the last six years privately, helping students from beginner level up to GCSE, A Level and University.

I adopt a communicative approach. I like to start from a source which the student finds of interest (as much as possible authentic texts or video) and use this as an input to discover the language. The aim is to take the students to a level where they can express themselves confidently and understand the written and spoken language. I will also look into the necessary grammar to help students in preparation for their exams. I can help them with essay writing, translations and presentations.
