I am a qualified teacher with a maths degree and experience of tutoring and teaching maths covering over nine years. I`ve worked with students ranging from primary to sixth form.

Whatever my students’ goals and needs, I personalise my lessons especially for them. I use my teaching experience to design lessons that develop their knowledge and understanding step by step. I answer all their questions and delve deeper into topics they want or need to spend more time on. I also support my students in revising effectively and becoming more independent. Perhaps most importantly, I work on building up confidence so that my students can get the most out of their lessons with me and at school.

For GCSE and A level students I cover exam preparation in addition to teaching new topics, including exam technique, revision, practice papers and homework to ensure students are well prepared.

Availability: I currently have limited availability on Wednesday evening or early Saturday morning.

I offer in-person tutoring in a quiet room in my home in Oxted.

Experience: After graduating from my maths degree, I initially worked for a big 4 accountancy firm for 6 years, specialising in forensic accounting, and also volunteering as a maths tutor at a London secondary school. In 2009 I retrained to become a qualified teacher, teaching in primary schools in London. I have also been a stay-at-home parent to my three children, both in the UK and for a number of years in Chicago.

I now specialise in tutoring and I’ve tutored maths privately both in person and online for almost 3 years, with students studying KS2, KS3, GCSE and International Baccalaureate. I also tutor in Surrey primary schools as a catch-up tutor with the National Tutoring Programme.
