Information about Rachael

I am a fifth year Maths student at Glasgow University. If you`re looking for some extra support for your maths course I would be delighted to hear from you.

I have experience in teaching the SQA maths courses from Nat 5 to Advanced Higher level.

Note: I prefer to teach from my own flat, but depending on where you live and how easy it is for me to get there I might be willing to make exceptions - just ask and I`ll see what I can do.

Availability: I am currently available most days. At the moment I have some students on Thursday evenings, so if Thursdays work for you it would be convenient for me to keep most of my teaching to Thursdays. But if not then I`m more than happy to arrange for a different day.

Willing to travel: Home Only

Experience: I have taught maths at various levels for the past 3 years, including private tuition for school exam preparation, and helping out in a weekly helproom for 1st and 2nd year undergraduate maths students, and helping in 2nd year undergraduate tutorials this year.

Met with Rachael prior to engaging her services for National Five Maths and discussed the areas of concern with her and my daughter.

By the end of the meeting Rachael had agreed to take on the tutor role and offered to provide a timetable for learning.

The timetable arrived in my inbox within hours of the meeting and covered each of the areas discussed.

We are now several weeks into the plan and my daughter has gained significant confidence in her abilities and filled a number of knowledge gaps she had.

I would not hesitate to recommend Rachael. She is a charming and polite individual with an obvious love of maths and a desire to help and mentor her charges.
