I am a Chemistry graduate with a richly varied background in a variety of careers including nearly 20 years in the Fire Service. I have always been passionate about maths and education and decided to retrain as a teacher in 2011. I have 2 children aged 16 and 20 who achieved grades A and A* in their GCSE and A Level maths respectively.
Availability: Evenings apart from Tuesday and Wednesday. All day Monday, Saturday and Sunday.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: Since retraining as a teacher, I have worked at a mainstream secondary school, teaching all ages from year 7 to 11, and within further education colleges teaching GCSE maths to both 16 to 18 year old learners and adults.
I am also a long-standing school governor at the primary school previously attended by both my children and a GCSE maths examiner for AQA.
