I am an experienced and patient teacher who enjoys discovering the unique learning needs of the pupils I work with and then designing engaging and interesting lessons to address those needs.
I am looking for work with primary-age pupils who need support and individualized lessons to improve their English and Maths. I also provide entrance exam preparation.
I have 24 years experience working from Years 1-6 in primary schools, which gives me a sound knowledge of the curriculum and experience of the best ways to support any pupils.
I have also worked with primary pupils who are working at KS3 level or beyond to provide enrichment and accelerated learning.
I am an English (2:1) graduate and have completed postgraduate studies to teach primary pupils.

Experience: At present I work solely as a tutor. I also have 24 years experience as a teacher which has given me a thorough understanding of what strategies work to motivate and engage children. I worked across KS1 and 2, both in state and independent schools so I have a sound knowledge of progression and development across the curriculum. I have a proven track record of making improvements with children working behind age-related expectations and those with English as a second language having worked as a raising attainment teacher.

I have successfully prepared children for 11 and 7 plus entrance exams at top London schools such as Queen Elizabeth, Highgate, and many more.
