Hi, I am a graduate from Loughborough University with a degree in economics, and also with an A in A level mathematics. I am a fun, considerate and easy going individual.
My approach to tutoring:
I believe that students learn their best in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, which is what I endeavour to cultivate. I aim to be as supportive as possible, so that students feel like it is a two way process, rather than a teacher lecturing a pupil.
Due to working with a wide variety of students with differing abilities, I have found that it is important to communicate in a manner that the student will respond to, what works for one student may not work for another. This forms the basis of my teaching approach.
Availability: Avaiable weekdays, either late afternoon or evenings
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Teaching Experience:
I have spent a year and a half working in education, while completing my degree. I handled full classrooms (in French as well as English), as well as many one on one maths sessions, where I was able to help increase not only the ability of the student but also their confidence.
I also have experience of private tutoring in the UK.
We have a total of
review(s) for Tim.
Tim has only been with us for a couple of weeks, but so far so good. He`s very focused and quickly identified areas that my son needs help with. He has set my son achievable targets that should help him develope his confidence with maths.
