I am a highly experienced Head Of English, having taught Key Stage 3, GCSE and A-Level English Literature and English Language for over ten years.

As well as this, I have marked both GCSE English Literature and English Language papers for AQA for over five years, giving me an in-depth and expert knowledge and understanding of the exam specification.

As a tutor, I am dedicated, experienced and personable. I have tutored students of all ages, and my experience lends itself best to those focusing on GCSE and A-Level. As an experienced teacher and examiner, I am confident in my ability to improve pupils` academic grades as well as their confidence in English. I have tutored for over seven years and have a 100% success rate of pupils achieving or surpassing their target grades.

I am also available to help pupils with personal statements and UCAS applications, having worked extensively as a 6th Form tutor and coached students in their applications to a wide range of Russell Group universities.

I am friendly, calm and kind; I firmly believe that a personalised approach to tutoring is the most effective way of teaching and I will adapt my sessions to the individual needs of the pupils I teach.

Tutoring online is my preference for the foreseeable future. However, I am located in North London and am able to teach in areas such as Hornsey, Harringey, Finchley, East Barnet and the surrounding areas - this can be discussed further if you are interested.
