Hi, I’m Deniz, a PhD-qualified Chemistry teacher, PGCE and QTS holder, and experienced KS5 Chemistry Curriculum Leader and Coordinator. I have over 20 years of teaching experience and currently teach GCSE and A-level Chemistry at an outstanding UK school, with particular expertise in A-level teaching, curriculum development and student progress.
I am passionate about helping students build confidence, develop a strong understanding of Chemistry and achieve their full potential. My teaching is structured, patient and personalised, using clear explanations, diagrams, questioning and exam-style practice tailored to each student and their exam board.
I support students with GCSE and A-level Chemistry, including challenging topics, revision, exam preparation and exam technique. All sessions are currently online, using interactive resources and whiteboards to make lessons engaging and effective.
I also offer a free Meet the Tutor session if you would like to discuss your needs before booking.
Availability: offer flexible tuition times to fit around students’ school and college schedules.
Monday: I am available throughout the day, as Monday is my regular day off from school, making it an ideal option for students who prefer daytime sessions.
Tuesday–Friday: Sessions are available after school, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Saturday: I offer morning sessions only.
I can be flexible within these hours and will do my best to accommodate your preferred regular tuition slot.

Experience: I have over 20 years of experience teaching Chemistry, supported by a Master’s degree and PhD in Polymer Chemistry, as well as a PGCE and QTS. I have taught students across a wide range of ages and abilities, from GCSE and A-level students to adult learners, helping them develop both confidence and a strong understanding of Chemistry.
I currently teach GCSE and A-level Chemistry at an outstanding UK school and have experience as a KS5 Chemistry Curriculum Leader and Coordinator, giving me an in-depth understanding of the A-level curriculum, assessment requirements and the skills students need to achieve the highest grades.
I am familiar with the AQA, OCR A and Edexcel exam boards and tailor my teaching to the specific requirements of each specification.
Personalised tutoring, mentoring and coaching are at the heart of my approach. I create structured programmes based on each student`s individual needs, learning style and goals, helping them overcome difficulties, develop effective study and exam techniques, and reach their full academic potential.

Deniz has has helped me massively with my preparation for university exams, on short notice. Her lessons are well planned and she is excellent at explaining concepts whilst linking them with examination questions. She is patient, enthusiastic and her thoughtful approach is altered to aid my understanding. At university I have found it difficult to find time to enjoy the subject due to the intensity and complexity of it however, with her help I not only feel more ready for my exams, but my love for the subject has started to grow again. Deniz is always reliable and accommodating. My daughter has had both personal and on-line tutoring from her. Both have worked very well. Her confidence with the subject has increased. Deniz is always happy to answer questions and gives clear explanations of the topic content.
