Hi! I am a qualified professional teacher with an applied science degree and extensive experience of teaching and the world of work. I spent a decade as a classroom teacher and a further 10 years running my own personal tuition service, all following on from a long industry career as a professional engineer. In addition I have spent many years as a senior examiner so I can give you real insight in to what is really needed to achieve the best grades. I have supported students from 9 years to adult learners across the full range of curricula including both academic and vocational qualifications. I have worked extensively with students who have special educational needs. Currently operating a mix of remote and face to face learning, my lessons are challenging but fun and focused on the student’s development needs. I offer a free consultation and competitive rates. Availability: I have some daytime only spaces left and I am accepting bookings now for a September 2025 start.
I am offering online lessons and face-to-face visits may be possible depending on location. I will teach in the holidays by prearrangement from 8:30 am till 8pm.

Experience: I am a full time tutor with 11 years experience of running my own business. I taught science in secondary schools for 10 years full time .I hold a QTS from Oxford and I have an enhanced DBS certificate. I am a senior examiner with one of the UK`s top examination boards. Prior to teaching I had an extensive career holding science, engineering and management positions with several leading global technology companies in the electronics, fibre optics and manufacturing sectors.But most of all I love teaching!
