I believe it is important to take the time to understand the way each student learns best, and adapt my techniques to coincide with their personality and learning style. I have a proven track record of supporting students to make excellent progress both in my role as a class teacher and as a private tutor. Experience: Hello.
My name is Jenna and I`m a qualified Primary School Teacher with five years’ experience teaching in school across Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. I also have three years’ experience working as a private tutor, where I have worked with over thirty families, providing one to one tuition in the home environment.
This has enabled me to maintain a good knowledge of the National Curriculum across the Primary age range. My experience as a class teacher and private tutor allows me to cover a range of abilities and use a variety of teaching strategies according to the pupil’s individual needs.
Prior to qualifying as a class teacher, I worked as a Special Educational Needs Support Assistant and I currently also work for a charity supporting children with special needs and physical disabilities. I therefore have a good knowledge of the strategies and interventions that can be used to support learners with additional needs to access the curriculum.
I have experience of supporting pupils towards their Year 1 Phonics Screening, Key Stage One SATs and Key Stage Two SATs. My recent training has provided me with a thorough knowledge of the new curriculum expectations, which allows me to support pupils to both reach and exceed these expectations. I also have experience of supporting learners on their transition to Key Stage 3, who may need support to consolidate and apply their knowledge from the Primary Curriculum.
