Bridie

My name is Bridie and I am a Biological Sciences graduate with an academic background in Microbiology and Infectious disease. I graduated with a first class honours in my subject and subsequently worked in a Microbiology laboratory within industry, before becoming a qualified Science teacher (with QTS).

I aim to help students make their academic journey not only successful but also engaging. I am now in my fourth year of teaching and have been tutoring students across of three of the sciences at different levels for a number of years, which I have found very rewarding.

Availability: I am available;

Weekdays after 4.30pm Monday-Friday
Saturday and Sunday all day

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I have over 6 years of experience of tutoring face to face and online. I have worked in two secondary schools across Wolverhampton for the past 4 years. I have taught GCSE Science, BTEC Applied Science, A-level Chemistry, A-level Biology and taught several different exam specifications including; AQA, Edexcel and OCR.

Experienced Science teacher and tutor. Most recently responsible as a Science intervention coordinator at a OFSTED `outstanding` school in Wolverhampton. In my position as coordinator, I would highlight students in need of intervention and design and implant strategies to help students improve their confidence and attainment at school. This role has allowed me to focus and develop my own skills and approaches to ensure I get the very best out of my students. I am, a very welcoming person and believe that quickly developing a safe and open environment with trust at the very centre is key. I pride myself on getting to know every child as an individual and developing an excellent understanding of what makes them feel confident and secure in their own learning.
