Me:
I currently work in education at a school in Edgware, and enjoy working 1 to 1 with students to unlock their potential.

My approach:
The subjects that I enjoyed studying are the subjects where teachers engaged my active interest, motivating me to understand for myself rather than simply learn by rote.

In languages this means engaging the student beyond simple language learning exercises in whatever field of german popular culture, literature etc. that interests them.

In English and History this can sometimes mean going beyond the curriculum, in order to reveal the broader importance of what is included in the curriculum. For example linking GCSE history module on the cold war to current events; or J.B. Prietsley`s an Inspector Calls to the transformation of our idea of social responsibility.

Availability: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday evenings are up for grabs currently! But let me know and I may always be able to rearrange.
