Ally

Hi! I`m Ally and I graduated from Bristol University in 2018 with a high 2:1 in Archaeology & Anthropology. Before that, I was a scholar at Wycombe Abbey School and achieved top A Level and GCSE results. I want to use my knowledge and experience to coach and inspire students to achieve success and smash their goals, whilst also making learning and studying an enjoyable experience. I`m really friendly, patient and try to make my lessons fun and engaging. In my spare time, I enjoy reading anything I can get my hands on, baking, fitness and spending time with my friends and family.

Availability: I`m available on weekday evenings and at weekends.

Experience: For the past year, I have been tutoring 9-year-old twins with KS2 Maths and English throughout 2020/2021 as they have been out of school for extended periods due to Covid-19.

I have also previously tutored 3 siblings for 11+, 13+ and public school entrance exams. In the end the family moved to Hong Kong, so the children didn’t take the exams, but they were prepared to sit them had they needed to.

I mentored a 16-year-old boy from Singapore who was applying to UK public schools for sixth form. Mentoring sessions included interview technique, assessment practice and entrance exam preparation. He was successful in his application and was accepted to study at Concord College for sixth form in 2017.

I tutored a girl at Wycombe Abbey School for History and English Literature and Language at GCSE level - she achieved and A and A*s respectively as a result of our sessions.
