I am a fully qualified science teacher with experience in many educational settings which include:
- Home-schooled students
- SEND students
- Low ability students and those lacking confidence
- Gifted and talented
- Adult learners
- Students outside the mainstream education setting
I offer tuition in all three sciences at KS3 and KS4. I also offer A-Level tuition in both chemistry and Biology. I also tutor maths at KS3 level.
I provide a fun, friendly and positive approach to teaching in order to inspire students to get the best out of the sessions, increase their confidence and hit their specific targets. I strive to accommodate learners with various special educational needs but also those who have little or no previous educational background.
I will look specifically at what you want to achieve and find innovative ways of teaching in order to get you there - especially if you have fallen behind for any reason.
If face to face proves difficult at any point then I have a number of successful approaches using whiteboard notes and questions via the webcam through online platforms which students have found invaluable in the past.
Availability: If I am free, my slots are mainly daytime on the days below:
Tuesday school time - 9am to 3pm
Thursday school time - 9am to 3pm

Experience: One-to-one tutoring since 2015 at KS3, KS4 and KS5 both face to face and through online platforms.
Experience of working with students with learning difficulties from mild to severe, multiple and complex both in special needs schools and as a one-to-one tutor.
Over 30 years teaching both children and adults to sing and read music.

Our son is autistic, has an EHCP - he has always struggled with "standard" teaching methods. We knew he was learning able but he needed a tutor with whom he could build a rapport with and try to help him fulfil his potential. He came into his GCSEs never having or wanting to sit a proper exam. He just couldn`t concentrate for the whole of the examination. Stephanie has been an amazing tutor for him during in GCSEs. He went from barely understanding the syllabus / concept to building up his confidence, knowledge and exam preparation. Right from lesson one, we knew Stephanie was the right tutor for him, he went from being predicted "just a passing grade" to achieving grades beyond our wildest dreams. Proper passing grades in his combined science. He`s now a changed teenager, confident, happy, knowing that he did and can sit and pass exams if he puts the work in. His self-esteem and self worth has gone through the roof. There are no words that we can write or accurately describe how eternally grateful we are to Stephanie for all of her support, guidance and patience for our son. Stephanie is a really thoughtful tutor, shes been great with mydaughter who struggles with anxiety. She is very patient and really helps get the best out of your child. Highly recommended!
