I am a fully qualified, CRB checked secondary school teacher with many years of experience teaching and tutoring maths (up to higher level GCSE) and business studies(to A-level). Most of my teaching has been in independent schools where standards and expectations for achievement are high, and I take great pride in helping students achieve their full potential. I have a patient, friendly approach to tutoring which has been very successful over the years and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for maths and business studies.
I currently work in an independent school in Northampton where I am Head of Business Studies.

Please note that my rates are negotiable but start from £25 per hour per student for GCSE and £35 an hour for A-level, based on one student coming to my house. If you live within a 15 minute drive of my house my rate is £30 (for KS3 or GCSE) or £40 (A-Level) if I travel to you. For times/distances greater than we I am happy to discuss a rate.
If there are 2 or more students the rate per student can be reduced (eg I have tutored two GCSE students together at the same time before and charged £40 for an hour, which equates to £20 per student)

Availability: From 4pm Monday to Friday , all day Wednesday, from 10am to 1230 Friday , all day Saturday + Sunday late afternoon (however the time/day of my availability is always flexible and I will do my best to fit in around your needs, either doing the same time each week or changing the time/date if required)

Experience: Since qualifying as a secondary school teacher in 1996 I have taught maths, either at GCSE level in school or as a private tutor. I have recently dropped to three and a half days a week of teaching at my current school in in order to provide more time to meet the increasing demands for private maths and business studies tuition.
