Hi, my name is Harry and I am 30 years old. I hold a BEng Hons in Chemical Engineering degree and a PGCE in Secondary Education. I have over 6 years of experience in education. I have taught both abroad and in the UK and over the last three years, I was Head of Physics at a secondary school in Hackney, London. I am proud to have led department that celebrated an outstanding outcome of +1.15 VA in our GCSE Physics.

I have tutored for over 10 years and would describe my approach as friendly and approachable. I understand that maths and science can be conceptually difficult so I try to cultivate a `can-do` attitude in my students. Through building confidence, I hope to bring a growth mindset, where students become more resilient and have greater autonomy. In my lessons, I impart knowledge and check for understanding, whilst providing strategies to improve retention and exam-technique.

Availability: Work-week evenings and weekends.

Experience: Career Summary:
I have 4 years experience teaching maths and science in secondary schools in Berkshire and London. And for the past 2 years I have acted as Head of Physics.
Prior to teaching in the UK, I taught overseas in Vietnam for two years, delivering material and preparing students for their Cambridge Checkpoint Maths and Science exams. I have a large range of teaching experience from very young to adult.
I also have over 6 years of experience tutoring young people and adults.

Education:
I hold a Bachelor`s degree in Chemical Engineering and a PGCE in Secondary Education. I also have a TESOL qualification to teach English as a second language.
