A semi retired Head of Physics, my desire is to affect the teaching of maths and physics to enable learners to link these subjects to life`s realities. Nature is full of amazing examples of maths, physics (indeed all the sciences) with Bio Mimetics being a perfect example of clever engineering.

I try to help students into engineering and to learn to look at the world with different penetrating truly `observational` eyes.

Availability: Weekends and some evenings depending on the time of year. Negotiable. Also I am happy to tutor on-line.

Willing to travel: 10 miles

Experience: I am a very experienced and successful `retired` Head of Physics with an excellent record of success at my previous school where I taught A Level Advancing Physics (OCR A & B) and the Edexcel IGCSE courses. Since I started tutoring, I also teach AQA and the Welsh Board.

I was also a Nuclear Engineer for half my life and my teaching often reflects this.

I am still actively involved in encouraging young potential graduate engineers to join companies such as GE Aviation, Renishaw and Delphi.

My experience is vast and relevant.

I am happy to teach Physics and/or Mathematics (except Statistics) to A Level in any syllabus.
