I graduated from Plymouth University with a MSc Accounting and Finance. After working for a year in industry, I completed my PGCE at Oxford Brookes University.

I find that it is vital to create an environment which the student is comfortable to make mistakes and be able to choose how the lesson is ran. I am very flexible in my approach to teaching and taught students from Year 7 to 13.

I enjoy teaching students from a range of abilities, whether they are struggling with basic arithmetic or want to be stretched to A level content.

The areas of maths I specialise in include:
-Teaching for mastery (currently undergoing training to become a Mastery Lead). This is an approach which more schools are taking and allows students to really understand and represent the maths.
-GCSE Maths. I have a lot of experience working with students who are on the borderline of getting a grade 4. All of my previous borderline students have achieved the grade 4 minimum.
