Information about Hanan

Hi there! I am a 25 year old living in London and I currently tutor full time. I graduated in 2016 from the University of Manchester with a first class degree in Actuarial Science and Mathematics.
I am not a typical Mathematician... I am confident, fun and bubbly! I know exactly how it feels to feel lost in Maths that was me just a couple of years ago. I am very easy going/understanding and no question is a stupid question in my eyes. With hard work and some help, anything can be done. I have lived in 3 different countries and have been told that I have a very clear and neutral accent so you will easily understand me!

Availability: Flexible with timings, but prefer weekdays.

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: I am a full time tutor with experience teaching ks2, ks3, GCSE and A level maths

I also currently work with Randstad education as a supervisor/ supply teacher for many schools. This experience means I go into different schools and as a result get exposure working alongside a diverse range of students and abilities.

In 2016, I went to Kenya for 3 months after graduation. I had the pleasure to teach year 6-8 pupils maths in order to prepare them for their government exams. This included preparing the lesson, teaching and creating mock exams.

Furthermore, during my 2nd year of university, I was a PASS (Peer Assisted Study Scheme) volunteer. This included helping out Maths first year students bridge the gap between school and university whether that be a general university question or a specific mathematics question.

My mum is also a teacher and I frequently watch her teach, I have definitely picked up the natural ability of teaching from her. I just love helping people feel good about their work after all their hard work.
