I am a qualified teacher with Advanced Skilled Teacher (AST) status.I am passionate about helping children and young people make progress and reach their true potential.I have worked as a primary teacher for nearly 30 years, of which 18 years I spent teaching in local schools in and around Basildon.I am able to work with any young person, whatever their ability.

Availability: I would ideally prefer to work from home but am willing to travel within 5 miles from my location.
I would be available weekday afternoons, after school and evenings. I would also avail myself for some Saturday mornings.

Experience: I have worked in primary education with ages ranging from 6 - 11. I have experience as a Year 6 class teacher for 12 years. I had progressed from class teacher to management positions varying from Lead Practitioner and Assistant Headteacher in Primary Education to Deputy Strategic Lead of a unit that provides alternate education to young people out of mainstream education.I have supported young people to make accelerated progress to achieve expected targets as well young people exceeding expected targets.I have helped prepare students for Year 2 and 6 SATs. I am currently taking a course in 11+ preparation.
