I have completed a PhD at the Open University on modern pollen-vegetation relationships in Ghana. My background is strongly biological, with an MSc in Biodiversity and Taxonomy of Plants from the University of Edinburgh, and a BA in Natural Sciences from Magdalene College, Cambridge, where I specialised in Plant Sciences and Ecology.

I am a qualified teacher, with a PGCert from University of Middlesex (2019), and have taught in a range of schools in London.

I have a huge amount of enthusiasm for my subject, and hope to help students enjoy Biology. I also, however, know the importance of passing exams, and how best to go about doing this.

I am also available for advice on interviews, university applications, study skills, dissertation advice, and essay-writing at A-level and otherwise.

Availability: I am currently available for online tutorials only, and can offer evening (except Mondays) and weekend slots.

Advanced Skills Tutor with The Brilliant Club: teaching custom-made courses to 12-18-year-olds (2014-present).
Tropical Ecology Course Leader: Indonesia, Operation Wallacea (2012).
Extensive outreach experience: in particular, working with young people to help them understand complex scientific issues.
