I completed my MSci in Physics with Theoretical Physics this year, now living in Oxford for work. I have tutored GCSE and A-level students in maths and physics since 2016, but can also teach pre-GCSE content if required. I have 3 A*s at A-level, including 100% in A-level Maths, as well as 11 A*s at GCSE.

During my first lesson, I work to establish a clear plan to meet your aims in the time frame given. Together we will explore learning styles, what works best for you in class and your feelings about the subject. I`ve found lack of confidence and stress/anxiety to be a prominent reason why students don`t achieve the grades they`d like, so I work to create a safe space where you can feel motivated, confident and calm! Topics are ranked in order of urgency to inform what we do in following sessions, but I will routinely check in and update this with you. After introducing/reviewing a topic, I like to work through exam questions together in order to identify areas of weakness. I will set questions between sessions also.

Availability: I`m available evenings during the work week and weekends. Online and in-person in Oxford are available.

Experience: I have been tutoring for almost 7 years since my own GCSEs. From March to July 2022 during a break from my degree, I worked as a tutor in school for maths GCSE and A-level, as well as physics A-level. I taught 30 students in small groups in both years 12, 13 and 10, 11 in preparation for the 2022 exam period.

I recently completed my Masters in Science in physics this June.

My style of teaching depends on the student and what works best for them. Maths and physics are some of the most difficult subjects in school, so I understand which topics students may struggle with the most.
