Unfortunately I am not taking on any new tutees currently.

I have just graduated from Cambridge University reading Mathematics.

Tutoring necessitates working with patience and persistence, as well as recognising when to take a more
innovative approach. While tutoring I have successfully employed a wide variety of communication skills to
explain mathematical ideas to age groups ranging from age seven to adult. Getting a student to achieve
their full potential requires gaining their trust and building a strong relationship, encouraging them to
develop a positive attitude and confidence to try out new strategies and ideas. Bringing enjoyment to
learning is very important and reing.

During Sixth Form, I created and led a successful mentoring scheme for the languages department. As it was a new initiative, I often stood back in order to take an overview and see how best to support the other mentors and improve the scheme. I regularly sought feedback from mentees and worked alongside other mentors to implement ideas and innovations and encourage new students to take part.

Availability: Evenings and weekends.

Experience: I have been privately tutoring all ages for five years now, in Mathematics and for the 11+. I created and lead a mentoring scheme for the languages department at school and in my final year at Cambridge I ran a Coding Club at a local primary school. I have spent two terms volunteering at a local primary school. I have taken part in holiday schemes at a local community centre, running both creative and sporting workshops. I was a leader of a youth organisation for four years, running weekly activities, planning and coordinating training weekends and national camps.
