I`m an avid Piano / keyboard player. I`ve been playing since 1995. I hold grade 8 merit in keyboard and grade 7 in piano. At present. I also hold grade 5 theory. My certificates for practical playing are through the LCM board ( London college of music), and my theory is through ABRSM,(associate board for the royal schools of music). I`m 56 years of age and my primary job was a glass producing shift manager. I have recently retired to concentrate on my music tuition. I have vast experience in presenting information to learners, both in a class room scenario and one to one. My technique is to break information down into digestible chunks. The learner is more comfortable with this approach. My method for beginners is to use popular music tuition books that incorporate music theory. I have had excellent results using this principal. I tutor open age groups, ie children or adults. I hold a basic CRB.
