I am a physics teacher and former Head of Science with more than 20years of experience as a highly successful teacher and tutor of physics, chemistry and science.
I have an in-depth understanding of what it takes to achieve examination success with up to date curriculum knowledge and access to a wide range of teaching resources. My work as an examiner for OCR A level physics gives me a deep understanding of the knowledge and skills required by the examination boards.
My success is based on my ability to build confidence by explaining difficult concepts clearly and in ways which students of all abilities can understand. I have a rigorous and structured approach to learning underpinned by my passion for physics and delivered with good humour in a relaxed and friendly manner.
Availability: I`m available weekday evenings and weekends.

My son has take an handful of lessons with Howard for A level physics in the period running up to his exam.
My son has said that the lessons are very helpful and that Howard is good at explaining the principals of the subject.
Howard also has experience as an exam maker, this helps him to give good advice on how to answer exam questions.
My son says the lessons are enjoyable and is very happy to attend them.

Howard has had two tutor sessions with my son so far and we have been very pleased. He explains the subject very clearly and has pitched the tutoring at just the right level for my son. Would definitely recommend.

Howard was a great asset to my sons preparation for A Level Physics. Working together they were able to cover specific topics within papers that my son identified as his weaker areas.
