Hi everyone! My name is Amal, and I am a second-year medical student at Hull York Medical School.
School is hard, and I understand how difficult it can be to achieve the grades you deserve. Tutoring is my passion and I`m eager to share the tips and tricks I used to achieve all 9s at GCSE and 4 A*s at A-Level.
Whether its providing in depth explanations, doing practice exam questions or brainstorming ideas about subject topics or studying in general, I`m happy to help in any way I can! Experience: I was a Peer Assisted Learning Mentor for Biology during my second year of A-levels. This involved leading weekly, group-based sessions for the biology class the year below me. We would practice exam questions and active recall centred around supplementing knowledge learned in class. Often, our sessions involved discussion about the difficulties of each topic they were studying - I would then share my own experience and related resources, along with detailed explanations. After the first term, their progress had significantly improved, and most students felt confident enough to continue independently.
