Information about Nisha
I am a passionate tutor with over 14 years of teaching experience in a secondary school.
My tutoring style is relaxed and informal. I adapt my teaching methods based on student needs, which can be adjusted upon request and maintaining an ongoing dialogue with my students is key to success. My approach includes breaking down new topics into small steps before applying them in practice, focusing on exam preparation, explaining how marks are allocated, and identifying misconceptions. As a tutor, my role is to fill in the knowledge gap and also complement what is learnt at school.
My lessons are carefully planned according to each student`s level and can be adapted as needed. I believe that understanding the reasoning behind mathematical concepts and knowing how to apply them are key factors in excelling in exams. I incorporate a combination of worksheets and past papers in my lessons and I also encourage students to use specific online resources to support their learning.
