Information about Bethany
Since qualifying in 2018, I have worked in a range of settings and roles allowing for a deepened understanding of the curriculum and differing teaching styles. I have taken every opportunity to develop my practice and thoroughly enjoy watching pupils grow in confidence through the use of individualised sessions.
I aim to support, challenge and most importantly, build the confidence of my pupils in order to help them reach their goals. I incorporate exam-style questions in my sessions, so that students can apply their knowledge successfully and understand what is expected of them to gain marks.
I look forward to working with you and your child to help them achieve success in Science.

Bethany is an experienced and outstanding science teacher with in-depth content knowledge of GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Physics - she has been tutoring my 16-year-old daughter for 6 months and we both feel so lucky to have found her. Bethany has an infectious enthusiasm for science and is always approachable, upbeat, friendly and fun and she quickly established a really lovely rapport with my daughter from the onset. After chatting with my daughter, she quickly identified learning gaps and revisited topics at my daughter`s pace so that she gained a more in-depth understanding. This helped my daughter feel like she was making progress during every lesson (she was!) which, in turn, led to increased confidence and motivation. Bethany`s lessons consist of the perfect mix of learning, recapping and exam question practice to check understanding before moving on to the next topic. Bethany is also a science examiner and so is familiar with the different specifications and exam-style questions which has really helped my daughter hone her exam technique. She is always on-time and, despite a busy schedule, even found time to fit in extra sessions in the run-up and during my daughter`s GCSE exams which has proved invaluable - my daughter felt prepared for each exam. Both my daughter and I really can`t recommend Bethany highly enough.
