Information about Steve

Hello. I`m a friendly, qualified and experienced tutor and have been teaching computing and ICT for over 15 years. I teach in colleges such as The City Literary Institute (London), and privately around London and Birmingham (West Midlands). Before tutoring, I worked for several years in industry, so I bring strong academic knowledge backed up by practical experience when tutoring students.

Students typically come and visit me at my home in Birmingham city centre.

I look forward to help you, your son or daughter. In the meantime, please check out my feedback or some of my one-to-one and company training testimonials below:

The subjects I offer can be tailored for the self-employed or business owners. Please contact me for details and rates.

`Just letting you know that I got 92% on the assignment we went through on Skype. Thanks a mill!`
- Alan Sado, Computer Science Degree Student, London

`Thank you very much for your session today. I found you very open, friendly and engaging. Your tutoring was very educational, insightful and in-depth with simple yet solid techniques for learning and implementing what I learnt.

I also found the session very enjoyable. You were very patient and provided complete analysis to my questions and clarified anything I was unsure of.
Thank you very much and best wishes.`
- Amit, Computer Science Degree Student with the Open University, Sutton Coldfield

`The feedback was the most positive I have seen for all the courses I have been involved in organising`
- Karen Westley, Monetary & Financial Statistics Division, The Bank of England

`Steve is a good communicator at both peer and management levels. He is always able and willing to explain technically difficult concepts and designs to others, and is patient and helpful with slower team members`
- Richard Murphy, Managing Director, Glen Technology Networking Group

`Steve`s skill is his teaching. He was a true asset to us with the launch of the exhibition and was there from the day it all started, so was an integral part of how it developed over time.`
- Andrew Tombling, Client Services Manager, G4S & Siemens at The Crystal

TERMS OF SERVICE:

I am always committed to helping my students achieve their full potential and succeed to the best of their ability, and in almost all cases my students have well thought out, beneficial and enjoyable lessons. In order to achieve the best results given that I typically work with students 1 to 2 hours a week, students (and parents) will also need to be committed to achieving great results, which requires hard work and committment. As such, I expect students to arrive on time, and for 24 hours notice to be given for cancellations, otherwise payment for the session will be required. Also, if cancellations happen more than rarely, this would indicate a lack of committment and my time may be better spent with other students. Please bear in mind that this is a professional relationship and treat with respect and courtesy it deserves and that you would expect from me, and I`m sure we can achieve great results for your son or daughter.

I needed help to speed up and edit some VBA/excel code I had written. Steve helped to speed the process up and helped with some of the code I was unable to get to work. Steve is a great tutor, very knowledgeable and friendly – would highly recommend.
