Information about Ayush
Hi, I`m Ayush and I`m in my 5th year of Medicine at UCL and have achieved First Class Honours in a Sports and Exercise Medicine iBSc. I completed my A levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at The Judd School and achieved 3 A*s and the top mark in the country in Chemistry. I have a passion for teaching and have been teaching the new syllabus consistently for the last 5+ years, putting me in an ideal position to teach A levels and GCSE as I understand the content and concepts very well. I like to focus my teaching on the techniques required to guarantee full marks in difficult questions by using the experience I have of past papers and mark schemes after ensuring a solid foundational understanding of the topics. Having spent 1000+ hours tutoring and having achieved all the best possible grades in my GCSEs and A levels, I have lots of good advice and resources I am keen to share with my students!
Having been through the stressful application process to Medicine myself, I have been refining personal statements and providing advice on UCAT and BMAT, as well as interviews (followed by mock interview practice and feedback) to my students. I got all my offers from Imperial, UCL, King`s, Birmingham and Queen Mary`s and my students tend to find help with these topics extremely useful.
I can also tutor students revising for the AQA Further Maths GCSE or the FSMQ, both of which I have been doing regularly and achieved top grades in.
Availability: As I am at university, my face-to-face availability is limited, although this is something I can arrange during holidays and potentially weekends. I am also available year round to do online tuition on any day of the week.
If this is something of interest or you have any queries about my availability, do feel free to contact me.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I am extremely flexible in my teaching style as I realise it is important to adapt my methods to the needs of my students. I have learned this through 1000+ hours experience with various students I have tutored in the past and currently, all of whom have provided excellent feedback. This ranges from 7 to 20 year olds, which has made me confident in tutoring students of any age or ability. I also have experience in tutoring children with learning difficulties.
The majority of my experience is in teaching GCSE Sciences, Maths and Further Maths to year 10 and 11 children, and A level Chemistry, Biology and Maths to year 12 and 13s. Some of my other students have required Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 maths tuition, which I am also more than happy to do!
