I am a retired consultant engineer with a degree in chemistry, degree equivalent in chemical engineering (University College London) and degree equivalent in computer science (Birbeck College). I have spent some 30 years in industry initially working as an applied scientist for fine chemicals manufacture and eventually progressing to be a consultant engineer in drinking water treatment for an independent consultancy (Water Research Centre).

I enjoy using my real world experience of chemistry to bring the subject to life when teaching pupils at GCSE level.

Availability: Generally available for teaching after school/evening during Mon-Fri. Week-end teaching would be considered.

Experience: I have been giving private tuition in GCSE and iGCSE chemistry for the main exam boards for several years since retiring. I have also provided private tuition in mathematics and physics at "O" level in the past.

I have previouslly worked with our local comprehensive as an exam invigilator (for which I was DSB checked and have had pupil saveguarding training). This covers GCSE and A level examinations.
